Meet the Makers

My name is Caroline Klatt and I started making candles as a hobby in 2020 when Covid hit and everything was shut down. I realized I could start making them as Christmas gifts and gifted them to all my family members and friends that Christmas. Once I got amazing reviews from my close circle, I realized I could actually make them to sell, and did all the research on candle making. Don't let the Tiktok influencers fool you - it's not as easy as microwaving wax and putting two drops of essential oils before letting it dry. Making candles is a science. I won't let you know my secret, but just know it takes hours upon hours of getting the wax to the right temperature, measuring out the wax and fragrance oil, finding the right size wick for the container, and lots and lots of love. Yes, I literally shed sweat AND TEARS over making these candles for you because I want them to be perfect.

In 2021, I met my wonderful husband and I have since recruited him to help me make these candles. Well... he only stirs the mix... SOMETIMES. Nonetheless, he shares the profits. Haha. I can proudly say this is a veteran and first-responder owned business. My husband, Dalton, is an Army veteran where he served as a Medic in the 82nd Airborne at Fort Bragg. He is now a Paramedic in Scotland and Moore County. I served seven years in law enforcement - three years as a Patrol Officer and four years as a Detective - and I now work as an Instructor/Developer for the North Carolina Justice Academy. We truly are a veteran/first-responder family and we love every minute of it.
